Three things to check to ensure your hard hats are in great condition

When you check your company's hard hats, look for any:

1. Visible cracks in the plastic shell;
2. Thin or chipped areas in the plastic; and
3. Missing pieces of the support structure or head straps on the inside of the hat.

If you spot any of these things on a hard hat, it's time to invest in new PPE and safety wear.
