You must look for these seven workplace hazards when you do a risk assessment 

The Health and Safety Advisor lists the following workplace hazards you must look for during your risk assessment
1. Structural hazards
The condition of a physical structure or building where your employees do their work can be a structural hazard. For example, if there are cracks in the walls of your office building or store, it's a structural hazard.
2. Microenvironment hazards
The immediate working environment or microenvironment can impact your employees and this is a microenvironment hazard.
3. People hazards
Your employees' behavior can cause hazards. Because of this, they're the most difficult type of hazard to manage.
4. Material hazards
Your employees use different materials, such as wood, metal, chemicals or glass during their work activities. All of these have different characteristics and, therefore, pose different hazards to look for.
5. Equipment hazards
The equipment your employees use in their tasks also have their own related risks. These can differ depending on the age and condition of the machinery too.
