Do Not Panic! 
 
This is the biggest mistake you can make when it comes to dealing with emergencies. 
If you panic, your employees will panic too. And panicked people are impossible to predict or control.
 
This could result in even more people ending up with injuries or even dead. 
 
The best thing you can do is stay calm and follow these steps.

Follow these steps to ensure you and your employees stay calm during a workplace emergency

 
When you hear the emergency alarms:
 
- Calmly, but quickly, leave your desk and find out what the problem is;
- If your employees need to evacuate, tell them to do so calmly but quickly;
- Ensure everyone leaves their desks and no one goes back for personal belongings;
- Ensure everyone follows your evacuation procedures;
- Do a head count once everyone is outside to ensure no one is missing; and
- Ensure anyone that needs medical attention gets it as soon as possible.
 
By following these steps you can ensure you and your employees get out of this emergency without serious injuries or any further disasters
