There are several areas that can affect your employees' attitude towards health and safety in the workplace.

Together, these areas form part of a model called the 'Blueprint for Safety Transformation'.

It is very important for you to be aware of these areas and take action where you deem necessary. So keep reading.

Three of these areas are:

1. The working interface

You need to take note of how your employees interact with equipment, systems and behaviours in the workplace. 

Many hazards exist within these interactions. So ask yourself, are you aware of them? And what are you doing to ensure that there is as little risk as possible within them? 

2. Safety enabling systems

You must ensure that you have basic safety systems in place so as to ensure adequate safety functioning. 

Do you have any in place? How do your employees treat them?
