These answers regarding ROE online submissions will help you meet the May 31 deadline for submitting your 2013 Return of Earnings to COID

The South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) outlines the answers to the most common questions regarding ROE online submissions:

#1: What do I do when I get 'individuals fetch failed ……405' on the Return of Earnings website?

Answer: You must check that the ID number is correct. If the system still gives you the same error, forward the ID number and contact details to the roe@labour.gov.za. The support team will register you, create a username and password and send the details to your email address so you can continue with your submission.

#2: What should I do when I get 'http Error 404 program timed out'?

Answer: This means your system is slow. Clear the clear cache and try again.

#3: What does 'no access GWT.hhtp' mean?

Answer: This is a JavaScript error and it means you need to upgrade your browser.

#4: What do I do I'm told there's a discrepancy with my declaration?

Answer: This means you've under declared the earnings from the previous years by more than 30%. You must make an affidavit and also provide a summary of the audited financials.

You must give COID the correct earnings by forwarding them to the ROE support team.

#5: What does 'organisation details not found contact system administrator' mean?

Answer: This means you entered the wrong contract account number. Remember, it must be the contract number that's in the following format: '990000123456'.

There you have it. We hope these answers have shed some light regarding ROE online submissions and that they'll help you meet the May 31 deadline for submitting your 2013 Return of Earnings to COID.

I cannot make out what the contract number and the CF number are. I enter the first seven digits of the old registration number with 00 in front and it does not work.
Please advise. I have been trying to register with all sorts of letters, email etc for the past several years but get nowhere.
