Follow these ten simple rules for OHS Act compliance

by , 07 October 2014
If you ignore the OHS Act, the DoL will punish you. It could even take you to court and lay a criminal charge against you. After all, the OHS Act is the law and breaking it is a criminal offence.

Why deal with this threat when it's so easy to comply?

Doing so won't just keep the DoL at bay, it will keep your employees safe and your business running smoothly.

To ensure you comply, follow these ten simple rules...

Your company will comply with the OHS Act if you follow these ten rules

2. Maintain your equipment;
3. Keep dangerous substances in a safe place;
4. Put safety equipment in place where necessary;
5. Give your employees personal protective equipment (PPE);
10. Report and document any accidents that happen in your workplace.

Following these rules is simple and will ensure your company complies so the DoL doesn't punish you.

But if you're not sure about exactly what you should do, you need to take a look at the OHS Act itself.
