Step 4: Use demonstrations to explain each of your procedures. Then do practice sessions to make sure new employees understand your procedures correctly during the training.
Step 5: Give them safety checklists or rule books with all your health and safety rules, procedures and precautions in them. Ask them to study these checklists. They'll need to answer questions on what they need to do after their training.
Step 6: Tell them to keep the checklist with them at all times during work so they can refer to it when needed work. Do inspections when they first start work to see if they're following their checklists.
Step 7: Follow up on your new employees' initial safety induction. Do this by monitoring performance closely by asking and answering questions in the first few weeks. This helps you make sure they understood your safety message during their training.
