- The safety procedures you taught your employees; and
- The names of employees who must do specific safety duties.
 
All of these documents become very important when you do a safety inspection on your employees' compliance. 
 

Here's what you need to do with your health and safety documents during a safety inspection

 
When you do a safety inspection on your employees, you need to compare what they do in real life with what they should do.
 
For example, if your documents say your employees have to wear certain PPE, you must check they're all wearing the right thing.
 
But if your health and safety records are a mess, you can't use them properly and you won't be able to find the documents you need to prove they're wrong.
 
So keep your health and safety documents up-to-date and store them correctly so that when it's time to do a safety inspection, you can find exactly what you need. It's one of the best ways to maintain compliance in your workplace.
